& Friendship Circle Workshop
March 2009
We’d like to thank the wonderful staff, children and families of the Pediatric Therapy Network for giving us the opportunity to teach a series of dance classes for their Buddy Club program. It was a rewarding and inspiring experience for us,
and we look forward to deepening our partnership with PTN in the future!
Pediatric Therapy Network currently provides valuable services to over 1200 children with special needs on a weekly basis. We are so grateful to have had the guidance of their well-respected and highly-trained staff, and are proud to honor PTN at our preview performance of “iConnect” at the Luckman Theatre.
Watts Tutorial Project @ UCLA
February 28, 2009
Culture Shock LA, Scratch DJ Academy and Elemental Arts Center collaborated to bring Hip Hop arts to an estimated 70 children from the Watts & Downtown LA areas. The event gave these elementary school youth the chance to test out turntablism, learn dance skills, and create their own spinart records. A big thanks to the kids and tutors from the Watts Tutorial Project for inviting us to participate!! For a dancer’s perspective, check out Rebecca’s blogpost by clicking here.
